Her approach to photography is two-fold: She loves to mix photojournalism and beautifully composed portraits—capturing your day as it unfolds while also creating space for more formal imagery. It's truly the best of both worlds!
Christy will guide you but also give you the freedom to be yourselves. She strikes an incredible balance so that your true personalities shine through in each photo. What 3 words best describe your work?
Light. Romantic. Timeless.
What is the best advice you give a couple when planning their wedding?
Design your day around what you truly want for yourselves. Don't feel pressured by family and friends to include a tradition that you don't like. This will free you and make your wedding day reflect who you are as a couple… elope in the mountains, hire food trucks, skip the bouquet toss, or have pies instead of cake. You want to look back and remember it as YOUR day, not somebody else's contrived version!
What's your favorite book/movie/work of art?
My favorite movie of all time is When Harry Met Sally. Nora Ephron dialogue… no comparison!
What's your favorite marriage advice?
Marriage takes work, attention, and problem solving. Tend to it like a garden – don't neglect it and let a bunch of weeds take over. Schedule check-ins on your calendar to talk about what's working and what's not. Sounds unromantic, but marriage is like that sometimes. It's about the long haul!
What's your favorite way to wind down after a hard day?
Definitely a jacuzzi or Lush-bomb bath.
Tell us about your pets, if you have any.
Eva is our Golden Retriever. She has a lot of spunk and loves new people! She will run head first into your kneecaps and slap her tail and booty against you in a tornado dance of excitement. She is very needy, but it's because she loves her people so fiercely.
