Why You'll Love This Place
A Here Comes The Guide Wedding Venue ReviewRead More Show Less
This exquisite winery sits on 63 hilltop acres that offer breathtaking views of Temecula's surrounding vineyards and the Palomar Mountains to the east. Nestled among South Coast Winery's own grapevines are the resort's Mediterranean-inspired facilities—tasting rooms, restaurants, guest suites, and hidden gardens—that evoke the Tuscan countryside.
If an all-outdoor wedding is what you've got in mind, you're in luck here! With several al fresco options throughout the property, your only dilemma may be choosing your favorite. Ceremonies are lovely in the Rose Arbor—the namesake arbor is completely covered by climbing roses, and its secluded location boasts a panoramic valley and mountain view. There's also the Vintner's Garden, where you'll find an oversized gazebo and expansive, private lawn large enough to host both your vows and reception. Or perhaps The Courtyard is more your style; this idyllic "sunken" space is sheltered on two sides by the columned main building, and the resort's charming bell tower provides the backdrop for your ceremony.
Once you've said "I do", you can continue the celebration in the Courtyard beneath glowing market lights—your guests will feel as if they're reveling in the piazza of a quaint Italian village. Off to the side, a set of glass doors opens into the atmospheric Barrel Room, where stacked casks lend a "vintage wine cellar" ambiance, making it a very cool place for a hideaway cocktail hour or an intimate reception.
You might also opt to move upstairs to the Back Veranda, a covered terrace that overlooks the Courtyard and affords a bird's-eye view of the landscape. Or, dine and dance until the wee hours in the Grand Ballroom, which features a soaring, open-beamed ceiling and French doors that swing out to reveal a bougainvillea-draped patio.
Because South Coast is a true resort, you can easily spend your entire wedding weekend here. In addition to traditional hotel-style suites, there are The Villas: luxe, stand-alone bungalows with fireplaces, jetted tubs, and private patios. If you feel the need for some serious unwinding, relax with a rejuvenating body treatment at the GrapeSeed Spa, and get your hands and toes looking pretty at the Nail Cellar. You can even hold your rehearsal dinner and morning-after brunch in one of the inviting semi-private dining rooms at the rustic-chic The Vineyard Rose Restaurant.
Two well-structured packages help make planning a breeze, and include many thoughtful extras like a fruit-infused water station and shade umbrellas for your ceremony. Better yet, you and your new spouse receive complimentary Villa accommodations for two nights, ensuring that you get to fully enjoy this utterly romantic setting.
