Why You'll Love This Place

A Here Comes The Guide Wedding Venue Review

It's showtime! If you're planning a sensational wedding, glamorous gala, or fabulous party, we think a truly great place to take a bow is the Harlyne J. Norris Pavilion. Part of an impressive performing arts complex, this dramatic venue is perfectly suited to its stylish Palos Verdes Peninsula setting.

The Pavilion's picturesque circular parking court, with its sparkling fountain and lush green border of sun-dappled jacaranda and pine trees, is great for photos (especially in front of the theater marquee, personalized for your event), but the real magic begins after you step through the wide glass entry doors …

… and into the skylit Lobby, where a soaring ceiling and chic black granite bar make it ideal for welcoming guests, cocktail intermissions, and mixers of all kinds. Romantic al fresco ceremonies take place on the elegant West Terrace. Designed with a tranquil stone fountain, Roman colonnades, and greenery all around, this graceful and serene courtyard is the quintessential spot to tie the knot—plus, bistro lights and uplighting add a festive glow at night. It also pairs well with the adjoining Ballroom, conveniently accessible through floor-to-ceiling glass doors.

Undeniably the star of the show, this highly customizable space is an absolute stunner. Auditorium-sized, it's large enough to host even the most elaborate party production. Rich cherrywood walls, 14-foot paneled doors, spectacular domed chandeliers, a built-in stage, 12 rows of retractable stadium seating, and magnificent theater lighting—including uplights, pin spots, patterned and custom wall gobos—maximize your options. And despite the room's grand dimensions, you can easily create a dreamy ambiance that's both intimate and sophisticated. Naturally, the audio system is state-of-the-art, too—there's a sound and lighting booth (technician required), and the acoustics are out of this world.

As if that weren't enough, you'll also find a mirrored dance studio, two dressing rooms fit for a leading lady and her entourage, and an expert planning staff ready to usher you through everything from choosing a caterer to selecting how best to use the variety of spaces in ways that will make your event a hit.

No wonder this venue consistently garners five-star reviews: "The Norris Pavilion is a hidden gem!" exclaims one bride. "I couldn't have imagined having my wedding reception anywhere else."

"Hosting our wedding reception at the Norris Pavilion was amazing! We could not have had a better experience!" says another. "Every one of our guests commented on how beautiful and spacious it was. We all had a great time!"
