Chester Washington Golf Course offers amenities you won't find at most big L.A. hotels: a beautiful outdoor ceremony site, a ballroom with verdant views and plenty of natural light, great rates, and ample free parking.

Ceremonies take place at the gazebo, against a backdrop of rolling green hills and mature trees. Afterward, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres are served on the clubhouse patio, just off the bar/lounge. The congenial lounge is outfitted with an oak bar and tall, floor-to-ceiling windows inset with doors that open to the patio, permitting your event to flow seamlessly indoors and out. The patio and adjoining gazebo garden area are also available for more intimate receptions, where up to 150 guests can dine and dance under the stars.

In addition, you have exclusive use of the foyer. This space connects to both the bar and the ballroom, so besides being a handy location for place card and gift tables it can host your cocktail reception if the weather doesn't cooperate.

The ballroom's remodeling accentuates its natural assets: a high ceiling and tall windows on three sides, all of which produce a light and airy ambiance. On one side, floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors form a long curved wall overlooking manicured lawns, lofty eucalyptus trees, and pines. Cream-colored walls, amber wood wainscoting, chandeliers with silk shades, and a built-in parquet dance floor make the space even more inviting. With it's clean, neutral décor, you can dress it up any way you want.

If you prefer an outdoor celebration and your party is large, host a tented reception on the lawn next to the ballroom. Located just to the left of the 8th tee, it provides a sweeping view of the golf course. The tent can be used by itself, or as an extension of the ballroom if you have more than 300 guests. Enhancements like draping, chandeliers, string lights, uplighting, and lanterns let you create the style and mood you desire, and when the tent is connected to the ballroom via ceiling draping and sliding glass doors, it feels like one expansive space. You may also bring in sofas, chairs, or other furniture to set up a lounge area inside or in front of the tent.

Chester Washington Golf Course has been popular with golf lovers since the 1920s, but its variety of lovely settings has made this versatile venue a favorite spot for weddings, too.
