Why You'll Love This Place
A Here Comes The Guide Wedding Venue Review
- Bursting with quintessentially Vermont charm, this sweet 1791 farm sits on 571 acres of heirloom apple orchards, forested hills, scenic ponds, and rustic outbuildings. This not-for-profit is driven by its values: environmental stewardship, history, and connection to the land and community are at the heart of every gathering, making this a truly special place to begin your forever.
- Outdoor gatherings are blessed by stunning pastoral views, whether you say "I do" before a pretty pond, among the handcrafted stone sculptures, or in a sun-kissed meadow. Receptions unfold in the vintage Apple Barn, where rows of multi-paned windows tip open to invite in the fresh, flower-scented air. For a smaller gathering, there's the Dutton Farmhouse—the thoughtfully restored 1849 home becomes your retreat for the weekend, with sweeping vistas of the orchards from its hilltop perch.
- Spend your first night together in an amazing historic landmark: Naulakha, Rudyard Kipling's 1892 home, sits right on site. There's plenty of space for 24 of your loved ones to stay here too: there's Kipling's nearby Stable and Carriage House, a charming 1916 Sugarhouse cottage, and the Dutton Farmhouse. Just minutes from the vibrant, artsy hub of Brattleboro, the whole place feels almost undiscovered—both beautifully natural and naturally beautiful.
