Fronted by a cobblestone entryway and a white porte-cochère, the clubhouse is embraced by a grove of tall conifers and native trees. The building evokes Frank Lloyd Wright's aesthetic, with its geometric configuration and interior use of natural wood and glass. In contrast to the angular architectural lines, the entry walkway is surrounded by cascading waterfalls, ferns, bougainvillea, azaleas, birds of paradise, and other tropical plants. The best spot for outdoor ceremonies is a picturesque, perfectly manicured tee box at the edge of an expansive golf course that constitutes MountainGate's backyard. The ceremony site, which overlooks a serene panorama of rolling hills, is shaded by a cluster of birch trees.

Indoor receptions are held in the club's newly renovated event space, which is beautifully designed in neutral tones with a vaulted ceiling and grand chandeliers. Wraparound floor-to-ceiling windows and a light-filled atrium frame wonderful views of the Garden Terrace's walls of greenery, the verdant golf course, and the Santa Monica Mountains.

MountainGate is known for its outdoor garden areas. The North Lawn, set with cocktails tables and hors d'oeuvres prepared by the on-site chef, is ideal for mingling. Afterwards, guests head to the romantic Garden Terrace to continue the festivities. Lined with trees, flowers, and a wall of greenery, it's a lovely canvas on which to create whatever style reception you envision.
