Why You'll Love This Place

A Here Comes The Guide Wedding Venue Review

Nestled in the canyons and arroyos along the northern slopes of the Santa Monica Mountains, Braemar Country Club offers an oasis of peace away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The beautifully designed clubhouse is an elegant, modern setting for all types of events. One walks on cool, creamy marble through an open floor plan flooded with natural light. There are graceful columns along every hallway, lots of French doors, and a tiled deck that wraps around the entire structure. The pleasing architectural elements are perfectly complemented by the natural colors of the carpeting and comfortable furniture.

Just a short walk from the clubhouse is the Cypress Lawn, a serene outdoor ceremony site. This secluded spot is sheltered on one side by a stand of tall cypress trees and on the other by a tree-covered hillside. Guests seated on the grass enjoy watching you exchange vows against a lovely backdrop of the rolling hills in the distance.

Open-air ceremonies are also held on the brick terrace, which works well for receptions, too. This space offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Masters Course and San Fernando Valley. During evening celebrations, city lights glitter in the distance, and for more sparkle you may want to add candles and twinkle lights. Customized cocktail bars and buffet stations can be set up on the terrace, making it the perfect place for guests to mingle on a balmy night. The terrace is also popular for al fresco rehearsal dinners. Other dining options are the clubhouse’s Main Dining Room or poolside.

The best location for an indoor ceremony is a versatile suite of three rooms, each of which overlooks the same spectacular view available from the terrace: the emerald hills of the golf course in the foreground, the Santa Susana and San Gabriel mountains in the background. Laid out in an L-shape with floor-to-ceiling windows, the rooms can be opened up to allow for very large parties or partitioned into five separate spaces that collectively serve as ceremony site, cocktail area, and banquet hall with dance floor.

Flexibility is the name of the game here, and no matter how you orchestrate your celebration nature is always within reach.
