- Appearing through the mist like a storybook Medieval village on a hill, this University of Redlands campus sets romantic Old World charm alongside sweeping California vistas. It's also a welcoming retreat, with overnight lodging in lovely historic homes—the Victorian Shaw Guest House and the Craftsman-inspired Trinity House—and a cool mid-century dormitory.
- Two graceful chapels provide uniquely lovely options for ceremonies: near the entrance, you'll find the 1892 Montgomery Chapel, whose airy rotunda and intricate stained glass windows evoke a delicate jewel box, and up the hill is Stewart Chapel, a splendid white church with an arcade, a soaring campanile, and traditional stone architecture.
- Geneva Terrace, a curved sweep of stone inlaid with a winding labyrinth, boasts some of the very best panoramas in Marin, encompassing lush, redwood-covered ridges, Mt. Tamalpais, the seminary's gracious outbuildings, and the wooded hills of of the Ross Valley. Inside, the versatile Alexander Hall boasts a large stone fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an adjacent shaded terrace and lawn.
