- This cool museum's high-tech interactive exhibits are as energizing as its bright mango exterior, which gleams like a beacon in downtown San Jose, where it faces Plaza de Cesar Chavez. With a mission to inspire the innovator in everyone, this one-of-a-kind venue eschews tradition while simultaneously offering some of the area's best event spaces.
- Celebrate on the Rooftop Terrace, with its jaw-dropping views of the sparkling cityscape, the expansive lobby, or the IMAX Dome Theater, or opt for a full venue rental to enjoy the whole space. We love the lobby for large parties: a three-level atrium with a 45-foot cylindrical tower, it's easily combined with the adjacent New Venture Hall to accommodate up to 500.
- The galleries are thoroughly modern, with engaging exhibits prime for exploring during a standing reception or cocktail hour. Each displays a mix of steel, glass, and plastic, with walls and ceilings painted in jewel shades of purple, yellow, and blue, and each has a different theme: There’s Social Robots, where you get to build (and accessorize) your own robot, Body Motion, which encourages guests to move their bodies, and Solve For Earth, which explores how to live sustainably and reduce the impacts of climate change.
