Originally built in 1860, the Events By Classic Group purchased the landmark mansion in 2010 and lovingly reimagined it as a stunning wedding venue that’s simply loaded with vintage charm.

Ceremonies are held in the garden, which is bordered by the multi-story Main House and the cozy Carriage House. A stately white pergola anchors the seaward side, framing the wedding couple as they say “I do” amidst flowery landscaping and a filtered backdrop of sea and sky.

After the vows, the cocktail hour kicks off upstairs in the Harbor View Lounge, which is outfitted with cocktail tables and a built-in bar. There's even an outdoor deck where guests enjoy their drinks and tasty appetizers along with views of both the Monterey Bay and Santa Lucia Mountains.

Meanwhile, the amazing event team has transformed the garden into an enchanting outdoor reception space. Banquet tables or rounds are arrayed beneath glittering string lights and nearby, a rustic stone and brick oven produces delicious wood-fired pizzas. In fact, all event cuisine is grilled or cooked to order, creating a savory aroma that melds with the salty tang of the ocean air. Equally inviting are dreamy panoramas of sailboat-filled harbors and wooded heights, which are best viewed from the cascade of balconied stairways of the Main House. This is when the action usually shifts to the Captain’s Room on the lower floor of the Main House, where receptions flow freely from dance floor to bay-windowed nooks and out onto the terrace.

For cake-cutting and after-dinner drinks, the party moves to the Carriage House, a convivial gathering spot warmed by a fireplace. Overhead, a breathtaking stained-glass dome ceiling evokes the room’s Art Deco heritage as well as a sense of occasion.
