Why You'll Love This Place

A Here Comes The Guide Wedding Venue Review
  • Nestled high in the Oakland hills, this quiet sanctuary sits on a serene perch under an expanse of blue sky. With its worlds-away feel and graciously open design, it's clearly a church meant to welcome all: couples of all backgrounds, identities, and faiths are welcome, and you're also free to invite your own priest, rabbi, or other spiritual leader to officiate.
  • Warm natural light suffuses the fan-shaped sanctuary, which has a beamed ceiling, parquet floor, and a stunning wall of glass behind the altar that frames uninterrupted views of regional parkland and hills that roll toward Mt. Diablo.  Acoustics in this hall are ethereal, making solo, a cappella, or pneumatic pipe organ (in fact, it's one of the few in use today in the Bay Area) performances sublime.
  • Receptions are generally held in the picturesque circular courtyard, outfitted with teak benches flanked by urns overflowing with succulents. On one side, a little path that winds through the well-kept lawn ends in a heart-shaped pattern just in front of an old-fashioned gazebo. It's a lovely spot for al fresco "I do"s, with a view of the lovingly planted hillside, or as the setting for your wedding cake or head table.
