Why You'll Love This Place

A Here Comes The Guide Wedding Venue Review
  • How blessed is Mill Valley? Let us count the ways: dramatic location at the foot of Mt. Tamalpais; redwood groves; proximity to the bay and San Francisco; sophisticated citizenry and small-town feel. And, of course, this gracious Community Center, a two-building complex, connected by arcades and enclosed walkways, that blends a classic Adirondack-style silhouette with all the light-admitting spaciousness and crispness of good modern architecture.
  • By day, the two-story Cascade Room is lit by sunlight falling through the tall windows that run the length of its side walls; at night, it's a glowing beacon framing festive scenes inside. The cathedral-style ceiling is supported by laminated wood trusses, an airy architectural element that makes the room soar. Perhaps the nicest touch is the wood floor, left uncarpeted to allow the richness of its eucalyptus floorboards to dazzle the eye.
  • Surrounded by ancient redwoods, the outdoor stage of the Old Mill Park Amphitheater feels like a magical forest hidewaya in which to exchange vows. Another al fresco option is the large patio beside the Cascade Rom, which runs right up to a three-acre lawn that provides a sense of spaciousness and invites guests to spread out and mingle. Truly affordable rental fees make this spot a true gem in Mill Valley, welcoming couples to dream up their day here.
