Perched on a picturesque bluff at the base of the Santa Cruz Mountains, Hollins House boasts an epic panorama of tree-studded fairways and the Monterey Bay coastline. Thanks to this stunning vista and its many event-friendly attributes, this historic home has a decades-long tradition of hosting memorable special occasions…and now it’s your turn to experience the legendary hospitality and magical setting for yourself!
The lushly landscaped garden lawns that surround the house offer a myriad of al fresco possibilities, starting with ceremonies in front of the quaint Wedding Gazebo. Shaded by Coastal Live Oaks, and with the rolling golf greens and glistening Pacific as the backdrop, it’s hard to imagine a lovelier spot to exchange vows.
While friends and family enjoy the cocktail hour and perhaps a game of Giant Jenga, you and your photographer explore the scenic grounds: Bricked paths wind past a sun-splashed patio into private forest clearings—there’s even a rustic bridge that leads to the golf course. Oaks wrapped in twinkle lights, a romantic tree swing, and a splashing fountain are just a few of the noteworthy garden delights that double as dynamic photo ops.
Outdoor dinners are glorious affairs that go from sunset to starry nights with ease. But you’ll also want to make use of the elegant house itself, which has a vintage charm all its own: original hardwood floors, fireplaces, large mirrors, and crystal chandeliers—every timeless detail contributes to a homey yet sophisticated ambiance. French doors in the Main Dining Room open onto the lawn, and all the spaces have picture windows that frame the pretty views. Small receptions can be held indoors, and you can also use the cozy rooms for dancing, cake-cutting, or even to host your rehearsal dinner.
Speaking of dinner, the in-house culinary team has earned quite a reputation for their personalized gourmet menus, striking presentations, and attentive service. Your in-house coordinator is another superstar, who will cheerfully orchestrate your celebration from start to finish, making the most of everything that this wonderful all-inclusive venue has to offer. As she tells her couples, “Just come with your ideas—big or small—and we’ll get to work making your vision a reality.”

Prices: What's this going to cost?
- Rental fee varies depending on:
- Day of week
- Space reserved
- Venue rental fee includes full access to the facilities starting 2 hours before your event, as well as tables, chairs, linens, silverware, china, professional service staff, and on-site Event Coordinator.
- Tuesday-Thursday site fee is discounted to $3,500.
- Small Weddings can rent the Hollins Room for just $500 Tuesday–Friday. Call for details!
A ceremony is only available when accompanied by a reception at the Hollins House.

CEREMONY CAPACITY: The Garden with gazebo holds 200 seated guests.
EVENT/RECEPTION CAPACITY: The entire facility accommodates 75-200 seated or standing guests in the summer and fall and 100 seated indoors during cooler months. The Hollins Room and Patio, combined, hold 30 seated guests.
MEETING CAPACITY: The Hollins Room accommodates 10–30 seated conference-style; the Main Dining Room seats 50 conference- or theater-style.
