Why You'll Love This Place

A Here Comes The Guide Wedding Venue Review

Nestled among 28 acres of rolling hills, grapevines, and unspoiled farmland, the Carneros Resort and Spa is a one-of-a-kind setting. The venue's architectural style is based on cues from the local countryside—barns, silos and ranchers' cottages—but rendered with a shot of industrial soul. The result is a clean, modernist aesthetic—and the perfect balance of rustic charm and unpretentious luxury.

Beautifully landscaped walking paths meander through flowering gardens with fountains to all the facilities on the property. At The Arbor, their premier ceremony location, you can exchange vows against a backdrop of Napa Valley vineyards and distant mountains. This site also boasts a number of enhancements, including a lovely trellis, water feature, lush plantings—even drought-tolerant, heel-friendly turf!

A wide range of inspiring event locations can accommodate the size and style of almost any celebration. The Napa and Sonoma Ballrooms showcase the resort's unique design with their soaring peaked roofs, handcrafted barn-board walls, and state-of-the-art lighting and sound. Both ballrooms, which can be divided into smaller sections for more intimate events, are filled with natural light and open onto the Carneros Courtyard through multiple sets of French doors.

The Carneros Courtyard is custom-made for outdoor gatherings. Along with its spacious lawn and stone fireplace, it's wired for sound and has festival lighting. It's a dream spot for an open-air cocktail reception or post-dinner cigars and cognac by a roaring fire.

For rehearsal dinners or smaller weddings and private events, reserve the Hilltop Dining Room. Its patios flank the signature infinity-edged pool, and whether you're entertaining inside the restaurant or out, you'll enjoy a breathtaking view of the hills and surrounding vineyards.

Wine tasting is a favorite pastime in the valley, but the resort offers a long list of other tempting activities. Let's start with eating: In addition to the Hilltop Dining Room, the FARM and Boon Fly Café round out a trio of great on-site restaurants. Get the blood moving with a yoga class, a round of bocce ball, or a swim in the lap pool (where you can recover from your exertions by lounging on the elevated deck beneath a cooling shade trellis). The Fitness Barn, overlooking the pool, provides plenty of equipment and features retractable walls to take advantage of the Napa weather. For a more relaxing approach to improving your well being, head to the Spa at Carneros. Here, you'll find an extensive menu of massages, body treatments, facials, products, and much more—all in a tranquil, healing environment.

At the end of a thoroughly satisfying day, your own little hideaway awaits. Indulge in an outdoor shower for two on your private patio with a view of bucolic vineyards and rolling hills. Then luxuriate in the heated slate floors, 800-thread-count sheets, and a match-ready fireplace. Although Carneros Resort and Spa is only an hour from San Francisco, you'll feel like you've traveled to another world, a place where beauty and serenity reign and every one of your sophisticated desires is catered to.
