Why You'll Love This Place

A Here Comes The Guide Wedding Venue Review
  • Nature is your best decorator at this exquisite retreat, tucked on a serene peninsula over Lake Nantahala. Celebrate among the trees in the beautiful open-air pavilion, which is strung with twinkle lights and accented by natural wood furnishings. When it’s time to hit the hay, lodgings for up to 18 are only steps away—don’t miss the spectacular sunsets over the lake from the deck of the Fie Top Suite and nearby bungalows.
  • The “Chapel in the Sky” provides jaw-dropping views for your intimate “I do”s. A short walk from the pavilion, perched 3,500 feet above the lake, the forest seems to magically open up to frame a panoramic vista of the sparkling blue water and Smoky Mountains beyond. Whether beneath a bright summer sky or among the turning leaves of autumn, it’s a truly magnificent backdrop for your vows.
  • Make it a weekend of adventure... or relaxation. Enhance your wedding weekend with experiences that will bring a new level of closeness to your party and create memories no one will forget. Bring your loved ones on an exciting rafting trip, hike on the Appalachian trail, or take sunset cruise on the lake, then host a calming yoga session to prep for the big day.

Adventure Wedding Dress Challenge
"At Nantahala Weddings & Events, we believe marriage is more than just a day—it’s the beginning of a lifetime of adventures. In the spirit of empowering women and embracing nature, we challenge future brides to push boundaries with the Adventure Wedding Dress Challenge. On Day One of marriage, or within three days of your wedding day, brides who accept the challenge will hike, paddleboard, bike, and white-water raft in a wedding dress, proving that they can conquer anything, no matter what they’re wearing."

Learn more about the challenge and a recent couple who tackled it in this People magazine article!
