Why You'll Love This Place

A Here Comes The Guide Wedding Venue Review
  • Founded in 1863 as the Brooklyn Historical Society, this handsome brick building has been recently renovated to add top-tier, modern event amenities. Now maintained by the Brooklyn Public Library, it’s conveniently located in Brooklyn Heights just steps from the Promenade.
  • Othmer Library—the center’s main gathering hall—is a grand, timeless space for celebrations, with a soaring ceiling, two-story arched windows, ornate woodwork, and an elevated level overlooking the impressive collection of books and ephemera.
  • Your rental supports the library, and ensures its multitude of resources—pubic education programs, access to research materials, museum pass programs, musical instrument lending, and so much more—can continue to benefit both its local community and the city as a whole.
