- Built for intimate weddings and elopements, this historic Mackinac Island landmark beautifully showcases the romance of the town at a scale that's just right. The Inn’s story began in 1820, when fur trader Madame Magdelaine La Framboise built the original Chateau and hosted dignitaries and officers alongside her Native American family and friends. Today, the Chateau is one of four buildings on the property, all set among meticulously landscaped gardens
- Sweeping views of the harbor and Round Island Lighthouse make a dreamy backdrop for ceremonies on the elevated Front Veranda and the Front Lawn, which can accommodate up to 100. A winding brick path lined with fragrant blooms leads to the Courtyard Fountain, another charming spot to say "I do." Receptions unfold in the Dining Room and Patio, with its light-filled and colorful interior and seamless indoor/outdoor flow, or at their nearby sister restaurant, the Carriage House, which is located right on the downtown waterfront.
- Mackinac Island makes it easy to turn your wedding into a weekend, and your guests can stay together across the Inn's four buildings, with a range of spaces to take you from welcome to farewell. One of our favorite options: exchanging vows aboard a Hinckley Picnic Boat 37 as it cruises the Straits. You can also book a buyout of the 19th-century Carriage House, with gathering spaces and food and beverage for up to 32 guests. Main Street's shops, attractions and restaurants are steps away (the fudge is calling our name!).
