- This handsome Romanesque chapel was completed in 1899 as the home for Decatur’s Methodist congregation, and is the only surviving example of church design by renowned architect G.L. Norman. Today, it’s a beautifully preserved historic event space that welcomes couples of all faiths and orientations.
- You’ll exchange vows with a stunning Tiffany stained glass window as your backdrop, flanked on either side by the pipes of the original (and still functional!) organ, with a soaring vaulted ceiling overhead. After you’re wed, invite guests to the charming courtyard for cocktails while the sanctuary is transformed into an unforgettable reception space.
- Events are possible year-round, thanks to updated climate controls, and the courtyard and adjacent lawn may be tented in the event of rain. Though the Chapel is just a few miles from downtown Atlanta, there are plenty of accommodation options in surrounding Decatur.
