- Set along the banks of the Connecticut River, this special farm was established by George Hendee, one of the founders of Indian Motorcycles. Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it’s lovingly maintained by an active non-profit collective, and is considered one of the country’s finest existing examples of an early 20th Century gentleman’s retirement farm.
- The 1914 Colonial Revival barn is a storybook-perfect structure, with its whitewashed siding, cupola-topped roofline, and double silos. Inside, you’ll find a stunning, open-rafter ceiling that feels somewhat more like a cathedral than a barn.
- A spacious lawn is included in your rental, and can serve as a ceremony spot, cocktail hour, and lawn game area. If you’re envisioning and all-outdoor celebration, the lawn can be rented on its own, and there is ample space for your tent.
