Impressionist painters, Andrew Wyeth, Andy Goldsworthy, independent movies and living on the central coast of California.
What have weddings taught you?
The value and importance of love, relationships and memories.
What is your approach to photographing a wedding?
Seeing the camera as an extension of my heart. Being technically sound, open and aware to all that happens at a wedding is always a top priority.
What is the best advice you give to a couple when planning their wedding?
The benefit of doing an Engagement Session is two fold. Not only does it allow us an opportunity to get to know one another, but when the wedding day rolls around, the couple is already comfortable in front of the camera and knows what to expect.
What are three words that describe your personality?
Kind. Intuitive. Passionate.
What are you currently reading?
The Bible and The Artists Way.
What’s your favorite quote?
“Blessed is he who has found his work” —Vincent Van Gogh
What’s your favorite marriage advice?
Maintaining, nurturing and fighting for “connection” in marriage and with any relationship is key. And when we get disconnected, do whatever it takes “reconnect” as soon as possible.
Extracurricular activities?
Rock balancing and bike riding.
Favorite food and drink?
Thai food, Guinness beer and dark chocolate.
