Why should someone hire you?
Your happiness is our priority. We provide in-depth consultations for all clients to make sure everyone walks away looking exactly how they want to, comfortable, and confident! We provide intimate experiences to help you feel grounded and present on such an important day!
What drew you to this field/how did you get started?
As a competitive dancer through high school, I was often requested to do my teammates' makeup and found I not only loved the process, but their reaction after seeing themselves. It wasn't until graduating college for education and working in preschool that I realized I could make a career out of makeup. I attended esthetician school where I met my first mentor and fell in love with weddings right away. After years of serving brides, to-be-weds, and weddings parties on my own, I expanded my team to better serve my clients.
What are some sources of inspiration or influences on your work?
My clients and peers are my biggest inspirations. It's not about a trend or a product. It's about the experience we provide and how we make people feel. I go into each consultation with a blank slate and create a look custom to each person.
What makes a wedding memorable for you?
The look on a client's face when they see themselves for the first time brings me so much joy!
What have weddings taught you?
I have learned how to have quiet control. Not only do I want my clients to be happy and feel great, but to be on time. All of which require planning, intuition, and subtleties that come with experience. This might include switching the timeline to stay on track, changing the music to reduce overwhelm, recommending a banana to sooth a nervous tummy, etc. It's so much more than just makeup and hair on a wedding day.
What is the best advice you give a couple when planning their wedding?
Honor yourselves and do what makes you happy. When you are having fun, your guests will too!
If you could have any superpower on the job, what would it be?
Intuition! Many of my team members and myself are highly intuitive which allows us to connect more deeply with our clients and better support them.
What are 3 words that describe your personality?
Calm, warm, organized.
What's your favorite marriage advice?
Don't argue when you're tired. It's ok to go to bed angry so long as you talk after resting.
What’s your favorite way to wind down after a hard day?
You can find me watching reality tv while eating cookies and oat milk.
What are some of your favorite places to eat—either everyday spots or special occasion splurges?
You can find my wife and I at Orchard City Kitchen, Cedar Room, or Sushi Confidential for a date night or with our toddler.
