Why We Like This Place

Located in the heart of historic downtown San Jose, this 1924 landmark is no ordinary event center. As your guests walk up the broad granite steps, past the enormous urns and soaring columns, they'll be impressed by the stately elegance of its neoclassic design.

That sense of awe only increases as they enter the Corinthian Grand Ballroom, designed with majestic features: The 60-foot ceiling has massive wood beams and is inset with alternating panes of blue glass and intricately detailed panels of gold leaf grillwork. Six extraordinary wrought-iron and glass lanterns hang from the ceiling like giant luminous earrings, while five 30-foot palm trees embedded with twinkle lights add sparkle. At one end of the room is a stage with a carved stone proscenium framed by red velvet curtains, where you and your beloved will say your vows. At the other end is a carved granite balcony, where you'll share your first dance as a married couple. Banquettes along the sides of the room make cozy seating areas, and there's a raised section that's ideal for the head table. The hardwood dance floor is permanently ensconced in front of the stage, so you and your loved ones will be able to dance the night away as you celebrate your big day.
