Why We Like This Place

Built at the turn of the century by art patron Judge Lambert Tree, The Tree Studios originally served as living and working spaces for some of Chicago’s greatest artists. Today they serve a variety of purposes in the community, and the Ivy Room has become a mecca for fabulous events. Annexed to the city’s famous Moorish-style Medinah Temple, the Ivy Room is an elegant ballroom with a high ceiling and gleaming hardwood floor. Multiple French doors bring in abundant natural light and overlook a private ivy-walled courtyard, a lovely spot for an al fresco ceremony or a cocktail reception. The venue’s location is ideal, too—just two blocks from the Magnificent Mile and in close proximity to the Loop, Navy Pier, and Millennium and Grant Parks.
