Meredith Monday Schwartz is good at "getting things done." As the company’s Chief Executive Officer, her official job is to keep the incredibly rowdy Here Comes The Guide staff in line and on time. Unofficially, though, she’s the rowdiest of the bunch and is often the last one off the mechanical bull when it’s time to go home.

Insider Info

Pronouns: she / her / hers

Domestic status: Married to the hottest man on the planet. We have four smarty-pants kids, and a Boston Terrier.

Best advice to brides: Stop making everything about the wedding (it’ll be over so fast), and start really concentrating on building a strong marriage.

Favorite wedding-related movie: Father of the Bride with Steve Martin. Actually, it’s my favorite movie of any kind. Well, that and the Kill Bill movies. I’m so many colors of interesting.

Extracurricular activities: Knitting way too much, reading and obsessing about cars with my husband.

Favorite wedding detail: I love that Johnnie and I got married on a beach in Half Moon Bay with just the two of us and our officiant present. It was gorgeous, but more importantly, because it was just the two of us, I didn’t have to focus on anything except what the ceremony meant to us. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Guilty pleasure: Lazy mornings in bed with a cup of coffee and a great book.

Celebrity I would most like to have a one-on-one date with: Would it be too bizarre to admit to a weird crush on Nigel Lythgoe from So You Think You Can Dance? I think it would be.

Favorite way to wind down after a hard day: My husband’s incredible integrity and discipline.

Marriage advice from the trenches: Do something every single day that shows that you love your spouse — especially when you don’t feel like it. Words mean nothing; actions mean everything.

Work space décor: I’m compulsively neat, so my work space is filled with only what I absolutely need to do my job — and tons of photos of my kids. I have lots of products from See Jane Work, which is an amazing website that has boutique‑y” office supplies.

What people most underestimate about me: My hearing. I have freakishly super-acute hearing. Just this side of bionic.

Fictional character I most identify with: Depending on the day, Liz Lemon from 30 Rock and Tabatha from Tabatha Takes Over. Well, wait. Tabatha’s not fictional, as far as I know.

Theme song: One Girl Revolution” by Superchick.

What I like most about my job: I work with my best friends, women who I respect and adore. What could possibly be better?
