Why We Like This Place

Think of the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel as being in Beverly Hills’ backyard. Since the late 1950s, the local jet set has relied upon it as a dependable gathering place. Why? Because it’s a quiet and convenient getaway, well removed from the bustling commercial center where most other hotels are located. It also has some of the most appealing event spaces in West Los Angeles, most notably the elegant Luxe Sunset Ballroom.

Located next to the Getty Center, high above downtown Beverly Hills, the Luxe Hotel occupies a prime hilltop location. When you drive up, you see a pair of long gray stucco buildings. The two-story building in the foreground houses the banquet facilities, res-taurant and bar, and guestrooms.

Your out-of-town guests will find the hotel an extremely comfortable, enjoyable place to stay. All of its superior and deluxe rooms, executive junior suites and luxe suites have windows or doors that open to the outside, and they’re decorated in warm, natural shades, with custom-made furniture. The rooms also feature state-of-the-art technology, including flat screen TVs, iPod bases at bedside, video games and complimentary wireless internet access. In-room dining is available 24 hours a day, and Luxe offers de-signer linens, down comforters, daily turndown service and plush cotton robes.

The Luxe Sunset Ballroom, designed like a home away from home, welcomes guests into a sophisticated, yet inviting, space. Dressed in shades of taupe, cream and bronze, it’s dramatically lit with modern chandeliers, recessed lighting and wall sconces. If you have a particular ambiance in mind, state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment is available to help you create just the right mood. For a plein air ceremony or cocktails under the stars, the adjacent patio is a true urban garden. Olive trees shade con-versational seating areas, while fountains lend a pleasing background sound. A unique feature of the garden is the Wedding Plaza. As you walk down the central aisle, lacy elm trees provide a natural canopy and frame views of the “fountain wall” backdrop. An upper terrace makes a lovely spot for mingling and casual drinks.

Far from the madding crowd, the Luxe Hotel is a stylish L.A. oasis. Have your celebration here, or just come for a weekend “vaca-tion.” Stroll through the gardens, play tennis or swim, and luxuriate in the full-service spa. After you unpack your bags, the tran-quil setting and accommodating staff will quickly help you get away from it all.

Fees & Deposits

A nonrefundable deposit of $5,000 is required when the space is booked. Half the anticipated total is due 90 days prior to the event; the final payment is due 72 hours prior. There are 3 wedding packages ranging $110–175/person for lunch and $125–200/person for dinner. Tax and a 20% gratuity are additional.
