Alina Pizzano couture bridal, a beautiful Pasadena design studio, is fast becoming “the” destination for fashion-conscious brides determined to be uniquely elegant. Whether you select a gown from her current collection or ask Alina to create something original just for you, your dress will be handcrafted in her studio in the tradition of true couture.

A Los Angeles native with a Cuban background, Alina Pizzano’s gowns embody a contemporary, romantic flair with a dash of urban edge. “She stays current and is aware of fashion trends,” a top wedding planner told us. “But she doesn’t try to copy a look, as Alina has an aesthetic all her own.” Her eye-catching bridal gowns are each as individual as the women who wear them, yet they all have certain characteristics in common—quality craftsmanship, luxurious fabrics and exquisite fit.

And rest assured, Alina knows her stuff. While earning a degree in Fashion Design, she was hired by Anne Klein; after graduation, she honed her talents designing for The Limited and BCBG Max Azria. It was when she made her sister’s wedding dress that Alina discovered her passion for bridal. Turns out, the wedding aisle is the perfect stage for this skilled designer to give wings to her imagination.

Whether it’s crafting a gown out of lace doilies or dreaming up dramatic accessories to give bridal looks a bit of “pop”—an oversized silk flower, for example, or a colorful crinoline peeking under the hem—Alina isn’t afraid to think outside the box. Case in point: A recent bride wanted a vibrant reception gown to lend modern elegance to her traditional Indian wedding. The result was a lavish hand-dyed purple duchesse satin and feathered organza confection with a jeweled neckline—the bride (and her groom!) were thrilled.

For your custom wedding dress, Alina works with you one-on-one getting to know your bridal vision, evaluating your personal taste and body type. The collaborative sessions include sketches and a series of fittings until at last your fashion masterpiece is unveiled. “It’s a very personal experience,” one bride recounted. “We talked through everything, she listened to what I wanted…and in the end, my dress was my dress.”

P.S.: The brides and professionals we spoke with all commented that Alina is super-sweet as well as stylish. Confessed one happy bride, “My time with Alina was my favorite part of wedding planning!”
