You can almost hear the music, smell the flowers, feel the laughter and the excitement bubbling up inside when you look at this photographer’s gorgeous images. No wonder clients and colleagues describe the extraordinary work of VeroFoto’s Veronica Puleo as pure genius. Engagement sessions, weddings, maternity albums, family portraits, rock n’ roll photography—her photographs sparkle with vitality. They are windows into a world of spontaneity and celebration. If you weren’t there, you’ll wish you were.
How does Veronica do it? Part of it is passion. At the age of 16, when she took her first photography class, Veronica fell head over heels for the fine art of capturing a moment on film. The youngest child in a large and artistic family, she learned first from her photographer brother, then as an assistant to a preeminent Getty Images photographer. She’s quick to admit that it’s personality that inspires her. “I love people,” declares the vivacious artist. “As long as it involves people, I’ll shoot it.”
“Veronica finds inspiration by creating a unique relationship with her clients,” explains a colleague who is amazed by the way this professional teases out the star quality in her subjects. “She’s dynamic without being obtrusive, leads without taking charge, is humorous without being rude, and she employs assistants with similar characteristics.” “She’s a fun person,” confirms a groom, “so the pictures she takes are fun pictures. It was as if there were 20 of her at our wedding. I usually don’t photograph well, but she made me look cool! Not many people can compare to Veronica. She’s a true rock star of photography.”
She is also very sensitive according to her many fans. They claim that while she’s a fabulous director, she never makes a client feel as though their creative ideas and special needs should take a back seat to her vision as an artist. “She is selfless, so she hears your desires, your expectations and meets them without reservation,” says a bride. “She’s a very special person. You see it in her work, and you feel it when you’re in her company. The way she documented our day brought tears to my eyes.”
Whether she’s shooting bridesmaids and groomsmen, family members, the wedding couple in action, the cake or a pair of satin slippers, emotion is clearly at the heart of every VeroFoto image. The way Veronica manages to reveal it is through an extraordinary understanding of her medium. She uses cutting-edge technology and her style is totally hip. She also has an uncanny ability to make the camera simply disappear so that her subjects respond in a way that is truly fresh, original and unique. “I’m so in the moment,” she says. “I go for the point of ignition, the moment of truth. The shutter click is instant gratification.”
With VeroFoto the results are always surprising and beyond expectation. “We quickly put all our trust in her expertise,” remembers a bride. “The results simply took our breath away.” “On a scale of 1 to 20, 20 being best, I’d give her 200,” raves another.
“VeroFoto…it means true image,” says Veronica. In Veronica’s hands that image is not just true, it’s beautiful.
