Background

Members of The Nob Hill String Ensembles include some of the finest classically trained musicians in the Bay Area. Individually, they have performed with the San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose Symphonies, and participated in hundreds of recording sessions, chamber concerts and musical theater productions such as “Les Miserables,” “Showboat,” “Evita,” “Miss Saigon” and “Phantom of The Opera.” They have performed and recorded with many celebrities including Josh Groban, Sarah Brightman, Linda Ronstadt, Van Morrison and Bjork, and have recorded often at Skywalker Ranch in Marin County on the soundtracks of many movies including “Star Wars,” “Predator II,” “Spy Kids I and II,” “Once Upon a Time in Mexico,” and “Zodiac”. In addition, The Nob Hill String Ensembles have many years experence performing at thousands of weddings and corporate events at the Bay Area’s finest venues.

Services

Best known for their String Quartet, Trio, and Salon Orchestra, The Nob Hill String Ensembles offer an extensive repertoire of classical, light-classical, and popular music for weddings, receptions, and other special events. When you call or email, music coordinator Terry Adams will direct you to her website, where you can hear and see the Nob Hill String Quartet on a video called “A Perfect Day” and hear 38 cuts from her “demo” CD — all of which will give you a taste of the music performed by her different ensembles. You will also find complete repertoire lists.

Terry can also provide solo artists and add different instruments, such as flute, harp and trumpet, to the mix of their core ensembles to meet each client’s needs. If you decide to book a Nob Hill Ensemble, Terry will provide you with expert advice on how to design the “musical score” of your event.
