Background
Lisa has been documenting weddings since 1999, and has earned an excellent reputation for her luminous images and sensitive style. Her photographs have appeared in numerous national magazines including Martha Stewart Weddings, Elegant Bride, Brides, The Knot, Wedding Bells and Modern Bride, as well as in the books The Knot Guide to Real Weddings and Chronicle Books’ You Can Wear It Again: A Celebration of Bridesmaids’ Dresses. She was featured in DailyCandy.com’s recent wedding guide as the sole recommended photographer, and in San Francisco’s 7×7 Magazine as the “Classic Wedding Photographer” of choice in their 2005 wedding issue. Lisa received a B.A. in Visual Arts from Oberlin College and has studied at the San Francisco Art Institute. Her fine art portrait work has been exhibited in museums and galleries across the country. Like a graceful novelist who crafts a story by revealing seemingly small moments and telling details, Lisa uses her photographic craft and fine art aesthetic to tell compelling wedding stories in all their beauty and emotion. She says, ”I love observing people, moments, and emotions, and creating images that will be treasured for years to come. Being invited into peoples’ lives on their most important day is an honor and a joy. It continues to move me to discover the unique qualities of each wedding, each couple and each day.”
Lisa is dedicated to using fine art materials: her beautiful silk and leather-bound albums are made by local bookbinders and embossed by hand. Balancing the use of classic, fine art materials with the conveniences of modern imaging technology, the studio offers web galleries, image DVDs and magazine-style albums.
Wedding photography packages include a voluminous, handmade Japanese silk-covered proof album with 600+ black and white and color photographs. Handmade silk and leather albums, parent albums, folio frames and custom framing are also available. Negatives are included at no additional charge after one year.
