Background
Karina Marie Diaz studied graphic communication and design at Cal Poly, as well as visual presentation at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. She honed her sense of composition, line and light as a stylist for fashion shows, producing a line of greeting cards for boutique stationery stores and creating window displays and visual merchandising for Macy’s, Wasteland and the Gap. Additionally, past experience as a model in New York and Europe gives her a deep sense of the other side of the camera.
Past weddings have taken this in-demand photographer to The Netherland Antilles Islands, Vegas, and the Adirondacks. A New York couple even flew her and her assistant to Cairo, Egypt. (Read all about this in our April 2004 edition of “On the Scene.”) This lens-diva was also whisked to Kauai and her beguiling photo spreads grace the pages of Sunset Wedding and the national edition of The Knot. You may have also seen her fresh, stylish photos in Modern Bride, Bridal Guide, San Francisco Bride and Wedding Bells.

Karina’s documentary style of color, black & white and infrared photography results in a personalized group of photographs telling the couple’s distinctive story.
