Jack Caputo can’t remember a time when he didn’t have a camera close at hand. In 1987 he launched Jack Caputo Photography & Video Production, quickly earning a reputation as a pioneer in event photography. His work has appeared in InStyle Magazine, Los Angeles Magazine, Modern Bride, and Conde Nast’s Bride’s Magazine and been featured on the Family Channel, The Learning Channel, The Lifetime Channel and Jackie Collins’ “Hollywood.” California Bride named him “photographer most sought out by celebrities for their weddings.”

“We spend a lot of time making sure every video is a little masterpiece,” says Jack, and one look at his website will prove this to be true. His company specializes in a short, yet magical, video montage. The 10-minute segment is brilliantly edited to recap the entire day in a series of exquisite vignettes. “Clients love these,” declares Jack. “We also do the video in real time, but the short montage is designed to be viewed quickly again and again.” “The video is so beautiful,” reports a bride who was also delighted with their photos. “I look at them all the time and so does my husband. When you mention them, I get a little rush of pride and start feeling the joy again that I felt on my wedding day. They’re just gorgeous.”

Jack’s team, which includes a large corps of handpicked, specially trained photographers and videographers as well as a production manager and editors, is adept at capturing every element of the events they cover. And yet they manage to remain completely invisible. “We keep our videographers and photographers off the dance floor,” states Jack. “We use long lenses and remain completely unobtrusive. I don’t want anyone in the picture except the wedding couple and their family and friends. People rarely know we’re there.”

Though their presence isn’t apparent, they are always working to make certain the job is done to the company’s exacting standards. “Jack’s staff is very much on the ball,” notes an admiring colleague. “He sets high standards for them.
