Background
After graduation from UC Santa Barbara, where she studied film, Sarah Kranz had what many would consider a dream job: she was a development assistant for Imagine Entertainment (she got to work on projects such as “A Beautiful Mind” and “The Grinch.”), yet she found herself dreaming of working with flowers rather than with scripts. Although this love affair with flowers went back to childhood and she’d even worked for a florist while in college, she’d never thought of it as a career. Still, Sarah eventually quit her job, started taking floral design classes, and with her husband Gene as Operations Manager, started Florabella Designs.

Abundant flowers, rich textures and colors plus unusual elements like fruit, vegetables, sparkling crystals and gorgeous ribbon give Sarah’s lush, garden-style designs a sweet, up-to-date beauty. One wedding professional told us she has a knack for “providing delightful grace notes in exactly the right places.”
Because Sarah and Gene’s own recent wedding experience is still fresh in their minds, they are able to see the wedding preparation process from the bride’s point of view. They strive to make the planning as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. One of the significant ways they do this is by offering a unique pricing system that helps the couple understand the costs clearly.
Sarah understands that some brides want to be involved in every little detail while some couples want a floral designer who can somehow intuit their style and bring it to life without involving them in all the specifics. Sarah works easily with brides on both ends of the spectrum, and either way, brides can rest assured because Sarah is as attentive to the details as the most obsessed bride!
