What 3 words describe your work? Exotic, unique, beautiful.
Why should someone hire you? I treat each wedding with as much significance as though it were my own, and I work tirelessly to bring the bride’s vision of her wedding day to life.
What are the common misconceptions about your services? That innovative designs cannot be as beautiful, elegant, and palatable as traditional designs. My goal is to make even the funkiest design palatable to the most conservative wedding guest.
What drew you to this field/how did you get started? I had a passion for working with flowers, and it turns out, an innate skill, that compelled me to leave behind my legal profession.
What are some of sources of inspiration or influences on your work? Art, fashion, landscape, and architecture.
What have weddings have taught you? For me, it’s not about maximizing profits, it’s about building lasting friendships with my brides, and feeling good about who I am and what I do. I feel that I share a large role in making a bride’s wedding dreams come true, and I’ll do whatever I can, even outside of my floral responsibilities, to make that happen.
What is the best advice you give to a couple when planning their wedding? Be yourself, be brave, find your style and don’t be scared to step outside the box!
The most beautiful and memorable weddings are those that are really personal and evidence the couple’s likes, interest, hobbies, etc. Also, be sure to work with vendors you like and trust!
If you could have any superpower on the job, what would it be? Telepathy, so I would know exactly how the bride wanted her wedding flowers, without her having to articulate it. A close second would be the power to be in more than one place at a time. Oh, how about being able to stop time? That would come in very handy for me!
What are 3 words that describe your personality? Passionate (about my work), floral visionary, integrity.
