She helps the couple prioritize all the different elements of their event, and offers suggestions on making their dream wedding fit their budget. “Sometimes the monetary investment is the determining factor,” she says, “and I work extra hard to keep the quality of services high while simultaneously watching the bottom line.” Ava is particularly adept at suggesting the most suitable vendors for clients. “I’m straightforward about who I think will do the best job for them, and I don’t overwhelm them with too many choices.”
Ava’s coordination style is subtle, yet very effective. “It’s important to have a good rapport and open communication with all the vendors participating in a wedding—this is a team effort,” she explains. “I make sure that each person is aware of the clients’ vision, and knows what everyone else is doing. That way, we can all work together towards our ultimate goal: to have the event flow smoothly, like a beautiful piece of music.” Creating a spirit of harmony comes naturally to Ava. “She really listens to people—not just her clients but her vendors too,” attests a minister. “She’s a joy to work with and she makes us all feel like family. She even follows up with us after the event to thank us and make sure that we’re happy with how things went. Now that’s exceptional follow-through!”
