Description

It seems like most of us look forward to getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and going to a tranquil setting where we can become one with ourselves and nature. Green River Golf Club, located in the Santa Ana Canyons in Corona, is just such a place. The Santa Ana River wends its way through this 560-acre property, filled with rolling hills, trees and lakes. Over 50 species of birds—including the endangered golden eagle—call Green River home. If this sounds like a picture-perfect location for a wedding or special event, it is. Because along with this venue’s natural beauty, the Wedgewood Banquet Center will not only ensure that your celebration unfolds effortlessly, but will do it all for a reasonable price.

Against this serene backdrop Wedgewood Banquet Center is a sophisticated venue. Guests stroll into the Spanish Revival-style building under a gabled roof and green awning, and through a doorway flanked on both sides by huge urns. They mingle in the foyer, and enjoy cocktails served in an adjacent peach-hued room, where they can also sit at tables and chat. When it’s time for the reception everyone gathers in the banquet room, an inviting space with subtle recessed lighting in a coffered ceiling. The neutral color scheme makes it easy to decorate the room to your taste: do something simple, or if you really want to pull out all the stops, create an ethereal wonderland with yards of tulle and white fairy lights. Large picture windows frame views of the verdant fairways and ravines beyond.

Those of you who choose to get married here, too, will appreciate the ceremony sites. One of them is a garden, bounded by a trellised fence and located on a sloped area right next to the immaculately groomed fairway. Two stone-edged steps lead to a platform where vows are exchanged. A latticed archway, columns, urns and fresh flowers are provided. The second option, a recently added gazebo, provides a vista of the Santa Ana mountain range. If you tie the knot here, don’t be too surprised if a deer decides to join your party!

Wonderful photo opportunities abound, among them a burbling stone fountain and an arcaded cloister not far from the banquet room. With more than 25 years of experience with weddings, the folks at Wedgewood Banquet Center are known for their attention to detail and all-inclusive packages that cover everything from food, beverages and a DJ to cake, flowers and invitations. Green River’s appealing combination of skilled staff and gorgeous natural surroundings promises an unforgettable celebration.

CEREMONY CAPACITY: The Club holds up to 450 seated guests outdoors, and 250 indoors.

EVENT/RECEPTION & MEETING CAPACITY: There are several indoor spaces that accommodate 60–200 seated guests. The entire club holds up to 450 seated or 550 standing guests.

Fees & Deposits

25% of the estimated event total is required to reserve your date. Another 25% is due 90 days prior to the event, and final payment along with the final guest count is required 10 days before the event. Wedding packages start at $39/person and include rental fee, bartenders, outside ceremony setup and cleanup. Tax, alcohol and a service charge are additional. Customized packages are also available.
