Vineyard Ranch & Barn

Description

Under the natural canopy of an ancient oak, dappled shade drifts over the bride’s dress as she turns to kiss her groom. Cabernet grapes hang heavy on rows of vines disappearing towards the eastern mountains, and a long view of Sonoma Valley stretches before the couple as they make their way back up the aisle between family and friends. Roses and lavender spill over the path that guides them to the oak-shaded, flagstone patio where the festivities begin.

This lovely scene unfolds at the Vineyard Ranch, a 140-year-old ranch with a restored Craftsman-style farmhouse, contemporary studio and barn. Horses roam the property, and olive trees and organic gardens abound. The choreography of the ceremony is just part of the creative vision of a talented in-house event planning staff with eighteen years of experience. They handle all the coordination, design and staging for events on this private estate, and make sure that every wedding has a genuine "home" feeling. We looked at hundreds of photos of parties held at the stately barn, the serene meadow and other sites on the property. Each was special. Each was gorgeous.

The coordinators also provide access to an elite cadre of Wine Country resources, including florists, musicians, lighting designers and chefs. They will help you choose one of the caterers from their exclusive list, who will prepare a custom feast just for you, using only the freshest and best regional foods, highlighted by seasonal vegetables, herbs and olive oil from the ranch’s own garden. Your meal will be paired with your selections from over 50 fabulous Sonoma Valley wineries.

After dinner, wine in hand, everyone strolls toward a convivial glow emanating from the lantern-lit barn. Like a chameleon, it can completely change its look to suit your event. With its barn-board siding and overhead hayloft, it’s a natural for a cowboy cabernet hoedown. Considering an Old California atmosphere? Bring in Mexican serapes and a mariachi band. Clad in striking metallics the space becomes an edgy SOMA loft, and in black and white, it’s the backdrop for an urbane soirée. You can dance inside, or under the night sky in an intimate outdoor setting.

And sonewlyweds, friends, family and barn swallows party into the night. Barn swallows? You bet! Bluebirds, owls and other creatures of nature are what keep the ranch fly- and chemical-free. This is an estate that supports sustainable agriculture, and all the vendors who work here share the same philosophy.

In addition to weddings, the ranch specializes in out-of-the-box corporate events, ranging from exclusive winemaker dinners to fly-fishing seminars and horse-drawn wagon rides for cocktails in the vineyard. Whatever your celebration at Vineyard Ranch, you can be assured of several things: on-site staff will assist you with every detail—even accommodations and transportation; you’ll see beauty everywhere you look; and you’re going to enjoy yourself immensely.
