Description
Nestled at the base of the Santa Cruz Mountains, the Toll House Hotel in Los Gatos offers a friendly, unpretentious atmosphere and quaint charm. Its shingled walls, cheerful balconies and mansard-roofed clock tower give it an old-fashioned feel. Those planning a special event appreciate its convenient location—it’s within easy walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants, 30 minutes from Santa Cruz, and 60 minutes from Monterey Bay via Highway 17.
The hotel has both indoor and outdoor event areas. Inside, the aptly named Board Room "Library" is tailor-made for corporate functions. The Cabernet and Chardonnay rooms are used for weddings and receptions, and have plenty of space for dancing. Prefunction events are held in the adjacent Lobby, whose overstuffed green damask chairs and loveseats tempt you to relax and contemplate the classical paintings hung on the walls. There’s also a popular meeting room off the Toll House Restaurant. Meetings sometimes continue informally in the adjacent bar, which can double as an extended reception area.
In the center of the Toll House Hotel, the sunny courtyard is a favorite place for weddings and receptions. A splashing fountain adds refreshing coolness. On the second floor, a small deck overlooks the courtyard. This is also a nice spot for weddings and related events, and rehearsal dinners are frequently held here. The five adjoining rooms that open onto this deck are often rented by the wedding party or close friends. No need for a designated driver when the party is right outside your room!
The Toll House’s relaxed atmosphere makes it popular for bar and bat mitzvahs as well. It’s the kind of place that’s posh enough to make adults feel really pampered, but casual enough to make children feel at home, too.

Fees & Deposits
A $750 nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve your date; the balance is payable 1 week prior to the event. A $950 ceremony fee covers setup and breakdown. With fewer than 100 guests, a $500 rental fee for the Courtyard or Ballroom may apply. For meetings and business functions, the room rental fee ranges $225–1,500 depending on guest count and catering costs.
Meal prices run $36–54/person, and alcohol $10–12/person; tax and a 20% service charge are additional. A $100/bartender charge for each 4-hour block may apply.
