Go on, fess up. You love cheesecake. And maybe you even love cheesecake more than wedding cake. If that’s the case, you need to check out The Cheesecake Factory. Given how popular this restaurant is, however, there’s a good chance you and your honey have already shared more than one slice of their heavenly confection on dates. But did you know you could have your wedding here?
The Cheesecake Factory in Redondo Beach has something no other Cheesecake Factory in the country has: private event space. And not just any old banquet rooms either! We’re talking rooms with a view here, because this Cheesecake Factory sits right on the marina.
The banquet spaces are upstairs from the main dining area (and come with their own bathrooms). An earthy Mediterranean palette of terracotta and ochre, accented by dark cherrywood and plenty of potted palms, creates a warm and congenial mood—just what you’d expect from a restaurant known for its generous portions of comfort food.
Welcome your guests into the Foyer, a multipurpose area that separates the two reception rooms. Outfitted with a bar and featuring windows overlooking the marina, this is a natural spot for serving cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. It’s also a convenient place to set up a buffet or food stations. A wall of lacy etched-glass French doors connects the Foyer to the adjoining Harbor Room; if you wish, they can be completely removed to create one large space. The Harbor Room is especially bright, thanks to a series of mirrors along two walls. Designed to look like French doors, they reflect the light from the windows overlooking the ocean. The effect is particularly lovely in the evening, as the amber sun sets on the breakwater beyond the boats bobbing in the marina.
On the other side of the Foyer is the Sunrise-Sunset Room, so named because windows on three sides and a high, retractable ceiling of milky glass overhead, allow you to track the entire arc of the sun throughout the day. This U-shaped room feels extra light and open because it wraps around a glass-walled atrium-like space in its center. Through the glass, you can watch all the action in the bustling restaurant downstairs, but any diners who happen to look up won’t see you at all, ensuring your privacy! A long, polished wood bar runs along one side of the room, keeping the libations flowing throughout your party. On a warm night, open up the ceiling and treat your guests to some after-dinner dancing under the stars. Of course, whether you retract the ceiling or not, the Sunset-Sunrise Room also works well for wedding showers, rehearsal dinners and post-wedding brunches.
If you’ve eaten at The Cheesecake Factory, you know that their book-sized menu can accommodate everyone. Have your special event here, however, and you can customize your reception with selections not available on the regular menu, such as prime rib and roast beef. (Consider their omelet bar for a private post-wedding brunch.) And for dessert? Even if you bring in your own wedding cake, you can still serve a selection of their delicious cheesecakes alongside. You might even decide to skip the traditional cake altogether—with more than 30 varieties of cheesecake to choose from, how could you possibly resist?

Fees & Deposits
20% of the estimated event total is required to reserve your date. The balance is due 4 days prior to the event. Rental fees range $1,500–5,000 depending on day and time of the event. Meals range $30–55/person. Tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional.
