Description
Two weddings, an awards banquet and a corporate function—they’re all in a day’s play at the Sunol Valley Golf Club. Situated amid lush fairways, shimmering man-made lakes and tall desert palms in the sun-drenched Sunol Valley, this popular facility has been serving up exceptional events with efficiency and expertise for over 30 years. Not many places can comfortably host a thousand guests, but here, in an oasis of leisure and calm, large parties and small are accommodated with ease.
Imagine your guests relaxing and enjoying themselves in the easy elegance of rooms with a country club feel. Outstanding vistas that blend artful golf course landscaping with the area’s natural rural charm distinguish the property. It’s as private and pristine as an island paradise—only this island paradise has topnotch amenities and it’s perfectly groomed. The attractively appointed Coronado Room, with its garden accents, corner stage and fancifully decorated chandeliers, easily seats around 220 and boasts one of the largest permanent dance floors in the valley. Sunlight streams in through windowed doors that open onto a roomy deck where tables and chairs can be arranged to look out over the surrounding hills. Larger parties spill into the Pavilion Room, with more floor-to-ceiling windows, balconies and a breathtaking view of the velvety greens, ponds and palms of the links. Everyone from business execs to golf pros to visiting out-of-state cousins is certain to be charmed by the setting. If your special event is a wedding, consider this room for your ceremony. A delicate white lattice archway is available for the exchange of vows, and a changing room furnished with mirror, dress racks and vanity provides private space for the bride.
Just outside the Pavilion Room, the Mediterranean Room, with its lobby-like length and appeal, is a welcoming prefunction space and a super spot for guests to mingle and meet over drinks, buffet service or passed hors d’oeuvres.
The Mission Room, though a trifle smaller and more casual than the Coronado and Pavilion Rooms, has the same clubby feel. Floored in slate and a tasteful merlot-colored carpet, it’s dominated by a handsome granite bar and a spectacular outlook onto the course. There’s even room for a small dance floor so guests can swing, cha-cha, rock or trance out to the heartbeat of your celebration. The beamed ceiling, fretted with twinkle lights and chandeliers, makes this a dreamy environment for nighttime events.
If low-key and lovely is a mood you prefer, the Garden Room downstairs is a cheerful enclave with private patio access, a large dance floor and a big built-in bar. And if the golf course beckons, there’s no need to resist. Book a tee time or ask the staff to coordinate a photo shoot out where the grass is perpetually greener.

Fees & Deposits
A $1,000–3,000 deposit is required to reserve your date, and the balance is due 10 days prior to the event. Rental fees range $900–2,100 depending on space rented. Meals range $28.95–37.95/person. Tax, alcohol and an 18% service charge are additional.
