Why We Like This Place

Towering palms and lithe willow trees flank the Aahmes Shrine Event Center, whose spacious interior has hosted many a wonderful celebration. The grand ballroom is larger than most event facilities in the area, and it can take on any theme you have in mind. 

Events often begin in the Lounge, where two built-in, brass-trimmed bars with mirrored backsplashes make serving cocktails both attractive and easy. Matching nearby counters can hold the appetizer or dessert display. The Lounge is also a fun retreat for after-dinner cordials.

The Lounge leads directly into the Lindbergh Ballroom, the centerpiece of the venue. Open, airy and contemporary, the ballroom features a dramatic vaulted ceiling with polished wooden beams. Rows of fabric swags overhead lend a soft, elegant look. At one end of the ballroom, an east-facing stage is perfect for your band or DJ, while risers are available for elevating the head table just below. The state-of-the-art sound system ensures that everyone will be able to hear everything clearly, whether they’re listening to live music, CDs or tunes off your iPod.

One of the best things about the Shrine Event Center is its adaptability. The ballroom magically takes on whatever ambiance you have in mind: For a sophisticated soirée, deck the space out in white linen and crystal. If you’re planning something more informal, like a luau-style banquet, the room easily transforms into a Caribbean paradise with vibrant colors and tropical décor. Add tulle, flowers, or twinkle lights as the spirit moves you; track lighting on dimmers allows you to adjust the mood throughout your party. There’s also a retractable screen for showing a photo or video montage, and even a disco ball in case you want to turn it up a notch when the dancing gets going. The on-site coordinator will work with you to design your event, and can recommend vendors to help you bring your ideas to life.

If you like, host both your ceremony and reception in the ballroom. Movable room dividers let you create separate areas if desired. Large conferences or banquets can combine adjacent breakout rooms with the ballroom and seat up to 600 guests! It’s no wonder this venue is so in demand for quinceañeras, proms, bar/bat mitzvahs, trade shows and other big events.

The Shrine Event Center is easily accessible by freeway and close to local hotels (one within walking distance), restaurants and nightclubs—something you’ll appreciate if you’re inviting out-of-town guests. Plus, there are plenty of nearby wineries, hiking trails and other attractions to keep your family and friends happily occupied before and after your event.

Noted worldwide for their philanthropy, the Shriners and other charities are making a real difference. It’s good to know that when you rent the Aahmes Shrine Event Center, you’re helping these dedicated volunteers continue their good works.

Fees & Deposits

A nonrefundable deposit is required to hold your event date. The rental fee, which includes a 5-hour event plus 2 hours for setup and 1 hour post-event for cleanup, ranges $800–3,500 depending on the date and number of guests attending the event. Overtime is available at $100/hour. A refundable $500 security deposit is also required.
