Rockefeller Lodge

Description

Have you always wanted to do something a bit different? Maybe have a Victorian theme in one room and French lace and balloons in another? Or maybe treat your guests to milk and cookies baked on the spot? Whatever your fantasy, the owner and staff of the Rockefeller Lodge love the challenge of making your special event a reality. And with its variety of rooms and outdoor areas, the Lodge can accommodate a wide range of creativity.

Once a Japanese Buddhist temple, the Rockefeller Lodge still offers a fragrant, woodsy serenity. The brown-shingled building derives its secluded feeling from the surrounding trees and quiet neighborhood. Winding brick paths and wisteria-covered arbors invite leisurely relaxed strolls through the grounds. Outdoor ceremonies are often held in the gazebo area. You can have your reception or company party in the spacious interior rooms, featuring hardwood floors, hand-hewn ceiling beams and a noteworthy fireplace constructed of burnt bricks from the 1906 earthquake.
