Why We Like This Place
The Robert Livermore Community Center is situated on treelined East Avenue in a quiet Livermore neighborhood. This sprawling complex of generous public space and topnotch facilities is perfect for all types of functions from meetings to mixers to dances to dinner parties. And, it’s ideally suited for weddings—especially those in which warmth (and economy!) are the critical elements.
The sandstone-colored façade, trimmed in soft forest green, is punctuated by a long line of windows that let light stream in. Step into the atrium-style lobby, and you’ll find it airy and inviting. Around the corner is a vestibule carpeted in rich rust and clay hues—just the place for sign-in, gift table and other prefunction activities.
The 6,600-square-foot Cresta Blanca Ballroom has a high ceiling, plush patterned carpet, soft gray-green linen walls and light-colored natural maple accents. A raised platform large enough to accommodate a small orchestra dominates the north end of the room, where a spacious dance floor invites celebrants to kick up their heels. Big windows let in natural light during the day, but as the sun sets, wall sconces and pendant and indirect fixtures come into play. Equipped with dimmers, they can create any mood and subtly shift it with the simple turn of a dial. Along the eastern wall, two sets of double doors open onto a trellised breezeway, which can provide an alternative ingress or serve as an open-air space for guests. Beyond that, a lamp-lined courtyard with pebbled walkways stretches to a series of half-moon-shaped platforms surrounded by rolling lawns and pines—a bucolic backdrop for an outdoor event or ceremony.
A service hallway behind the ballroom serves the north and south ends of the room and provides access to an all-new, professionally designed catering kitchen that has an industrial sheen and enough freezers, fridges, sinks and counter space to make it a caterer’s dream.
Of course, flexibility and serviceability for a wide range of requirements is the goal at this community center. The Cresta Blanca Ballroom can easily be divided into two less imposing chambers: the Cresta Blanca Room North and South. Other rentable event spaces within the center include the grasscloth-and-light-maple embellished Larkspur Room, the Palo Verde Room and the cozy Sycamore Room, all of which are sunny and cheery. It’s no wonder the community is already finding itself at ease in this splendidly designed, new family-oriented environment. So will your guests.

Fees & Deposits
A $300 application fee is required to reserve your date, and the full rental fee is due within 30 days of your event. Rental fees range $500–2,900 depending on resident status and hours of use.
