Description
It’s not often that the birthplace of a former president qualifies as an event site, but this one does in a big way. Its classically styled buildings and nine acres of gardens create a serene and stately backdrop for any celebration. A long reflecting pool is bordered by flower beds blooming with color year-round, and the terraced areas of the formal gardens are interspersed with manicured deep green lawns.
Needless to say, the Library’s meticulously landscaped grounds and colonnaded walkways offer countless photo opportunities. One of them is the delicate, steepled white gazebo that was used for Tricia Nixon’s 1971 wedding in the White House Rose Garden. On permanent loan to the library, it has served as an altar for hundreds of couples.
The gardens are also a sublime spot for post-ceremony cocktails. Guests can sip champagne while admiring their lovely surroundings, and if the timing is just right, they’ll be treated to a beautiful bonus—a technicolor sunset that’s reflected on the pool’s calm surface.
Receptions are held in a stunning replica of the White House East Room. Great attention has been paid to every detail: intricate plasterwork and molding throughout; formally draped floor-to-ceiling windows; decorative fireplaces; and a gleaming parquet floor. The room’s most arresting feature, however, is the trio of exquisite crystal chandeliers suspended from the twenty-foot ceiling. When these lights are sparkling over a roomful of elegantly set tables—complete with gold Versailles chairs—the effect is truly breathtaking.
Additional options include the indoor theater (where one couple celebrating their anniversary showed home movies), and docent-led tours of the library’s exhibits. An event specialist will help you plan your wedding and choose from among local florists, photographers, entertainers and other vendors.
This facility is so much more than just a presidential library. With its gorgeous gardens and interior spaces, it’s a place fit for a presidential wedding.

Fees & Deposits
For weddings or non-corporate special events, a signed contract and 50% of the rental fee are required as a deposit to confirm your reservation; the event balance is due 2 weeks prior to the event. The facility use fee (which covers exclusive use of the facility for 7 hours) runs $5,000 or more depending on guest count. Discounts may be available for nonprofit organizations, or may be granted based on seasonal or daily availability.
