As soon as you approach Radisson Suite Hotel Rancho Bernardo—and it won’t take long, because it’s just a couple of quiet turns off Interstate 15—you’ll appreciate the meticulous attention to detail and vigilant upkeep that distinguish this hotel.Bright flowers and a festive fountain anchor the porte-cochère that shelters your entrance to the lobby, where fresh fruit and friendly faces welcome you. Clubby leather sofas clustered around a fireplace entice you to sit and relax. And thanks to a complete renovation in 2007, every furnishing, fabric, and fixture is fresh and up-to-date.
Instead of stressing about getting to the church on time, about 90 percent of couples decide to exchange vows in the hotel’s Montadura Ballroom, a long, bright space you can personalize with flowers and chair covers with sashes in your favorite colors. Make a striking entrance down the room’s nearly 45-foot runway to the arch and pillars where you’ll tie the knot.
Receptions are held in the Rotunda Ballroom, whose 18-foot ceiling is crowned by a chandelier encircled by faux clouds. Four sets of tall French doors open to a private patio, where bougainvillea and seasonal flowers drape trellised walls. Revelers can traipse in and out, luxuriating in the summer breeze while noshing on appetizers and enjoying a two-hour open bar before dinner is served, their tables shimmering as mirrored centerpieces reflect flickering votive candles.
Food is also not an afterthought. It doesn’t matter what you order; everything is prepared fresh by Chef Corinne Poignet, who’s been at this hotel 15 years and insists on the highest quality ingredients. Specialties include Apricot Rosemary Chicken, Garlic and Pepper Crusted Top Sirloin, and Coriander Mustard Seed Crusted Salmon.
It’s the absence of hidden fees that brides appreciate most here. Every package includes things you may be charged for elsewhere, such as chair covers, colored table linens, and cake-cutting. All you need to provide is your cake, music, and flowers—easy as one, two, three.
The bride and groom receive a roomy, upgraded suite that features fluffy down bedding on a California King bed. There’s a full array of luxurious bath amenities, including robe and slippers, so you can pack light.
Your overnight guests will be well taken care of, too. All rooms are suites, and Sleep Number beds are available at no extra charge. Friends and family can check e-mail using free Wi-Fi, do some work using the in-room printer-fax-copier, lounge by the heated pool or unwind in the spa. All guests are treated to a complimentary cocktail and a daily breakfast buffet is available.

Fees & Deposits
A $500 deposit is required to reserve your date. The balance is due 30 days prior to the event. Rental fees range $175–1,000 depending on the time of the event, guest count and the space rented. Meals range $22–68/person. Tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional.
