Possibly the best-kept secret in this sophisticated coastal enclave, the Radisson Hotel Newport Beach offers upscale comfort without pretension or stuffiness. It’s one of the top values in town, and it’s just minutes from John Wayne Airport (a mere half-mile way), sunny beaches, renowned golf courses, and world-class shopping and culture.With all its assets, the Radisson is popular for weddings, reunions, bar/bat mitzvahs, quinceñeras and other special events. Brides enjoy the services of a certified wedding coordinator, who helps plan every detail and provides a patient ear for any concerns along the way. Wedding packages also include a tasting session, so couples can sample the cuisine they plan to serve at their reception and make sure it’s to their liking. A duo of changing rooms for the bridal party, a complimentary honeymoon suite and free parking for guests are additional benefits that come with all bookings.
The hotel’s capacious Garden Pavilion can be transformed into a magical setting for a wedding ceremony or reception, with elegant chiffon swags and twinkling lights. A year-round venue with an indoor-outdoor feel, it’s protected from the elements yet awash with natural light. Celebrations can spill onto the adjacent tennis courts, which can be “carpeted” with Astroturf for the occasion. The nearby pool area, bordered by tall palms and tropical Hibiscus shrubs, is a natural spot for serving passed hors d’oeuvres and champagne. It’s closed to hotel guests when cocktail receptions are hosted here, giving you privacy—and the freedom to float flowers in the pool if you like.
The Pacific Ballroom, one of the few in Orange County with windows, opens to the pool area. With its dark wood paneling and multiple crystal chandeliers and wall sconces on dimmer switches, it’s an impressive stage for formal receptions. For smaller affairs, including rehearsal dinners and farewell brunches, the Palm Garden Room offers booth and table seating, as well as a dance floor in its glassed-in “wine cellar” area.
Another option for a ceremony or reception is the vibrant Palm Court, a bright atrium that joins the Radisson’s two mid-rise towers. It features a bold tropical-themed mural, iron seashell-backed chairs and twin palms that rise to the ceiling. There’s also the Newport Bay Room, an informal “junior ballroom” that opens to a private patio shielded by ferns and tall ficus trees.
After your guests depart, come “home” to a suite as spacious as many city apartments, outfitted with marble-topped counters, a giant plasma screen TV and a Jacuzzi tub in one of two bathrooms. And while the Radisson can’t guarantee sweet dreams, you’ll probably have them once you curl up in your king-size Sleep Number® bed, truly the perfect end to a perfect day.

Fees & Deposits
30% of the food and beverage minimum is required to reserve your date. A portion is due 90 days prior to the event. The balance is due 10 days prior to the event. Rental fees range $850–1,500 and vary depending on the ceremony location selected. Meals range $40–103/person. Tax, alcohol and a 21% service charge are additional.
