Description
Pyramid Alehouse, Brewery & Restaurant is unique enough for her and brewery enough for him! It’s a big, energetic site that is eye candy for anybody who likes industrial chic design done just right.
This combination working brewery and busy restaurant fits in well with the neighborhood, an enclave of former factories and warehouses undergoing a full-tilt urban renaissance. Pyramid’s signature entry, a 40-foot-high trellis of silvery I-beams and trusses, makes it a standout among the hip stores and creative little restaurants that have sprung up all around.
Things only get more interesting as you walk through the front door: The eye-popping interior entertains with its complexity. Besides eating, the favorite pastime here is looking up at the two-story-high ceiling, where black steel beams and trusses add to the Dining Room’s high-tech edge. But the cool industrial look is softened by the surprisingly warm lighting from above. Big windows at the north end of the dining room look out onto the main brewing tanks. Sharp-eyed guests often glimpse brewers dipping into the vats of boiling grains to test fresh batches of Pyramid ales and lagers.
The two main areas for receptions, meetings or rehearsal dinners are the second-floor Board Room and the Mezzanine, which can be rented separately or together. Faced in red brick, with a concrete floor and an exposed-wood ceiling and rafters, the Board Room manages to be both spare and inviting. Warm indirect lighting comes from a series of distinctive copper sconces, whose pyramid-shaped cutouts bring to mind the restaurant’s name. If you reserve only this room for your function, you can close the double doors, making it a quiet, very private space. Overlooking the bar, the Mezzanine is ideal for larger parties or cocktail receptions. Its open style keeps your event casual and in the mix with the rest of the restaurant, while still affording plenty of privacy. Booked in combination, these two areas are perfect for dining and dancing or entertainment.
Through the foyer and to the right is the Hefe Room, which is not only used for parties and rehearsal dinners but is also the launching point for daily brewery tours. It can be closed off from the outside, yet still remain visually open thanks to a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows. Windows on the far side of the room reveal the brewery’s bank of gleaming 130,000-gallon storage tanks, while the opposite wall looks out into the Beer Garden.
Pyramid’s sunny patio just off the entrance foyer is also available for events. The space, which has rustling palm trees throughout, is protected from breezes and traffic sounds by a stylish concrete and galvanized-metal wall and can be heated year-round. Since one side of the patio is floor-to-ceiling windows that look into the entryway, serious people watching is a given here.
If the timing is right, Pyramid will even rent out the entire facility—including the parking structure. And when you book your event here, inquire about a private brewery tour for your group. The on-site coordinator is available to help you plan every aspect of your event, including entertainment, décor, AV equipment, etc., and can also work with you to create a custom menu.
The folks at Pyramid Alehouse really know how to have fun. If you’re keen on lively informality and you enjoy the idea of rubbing shoulders with a working brewery, you’re going to love this place. Easy access off the freeway and a large parking lot are just two more perks that make this venue a great choice for your next private event.
