Marlene Dietrich, Mae West, Audrey Hepburn and Gloria Swanson are among the elite list of leading ladies who have starred in a Paramount Pictures production—a list that you, too, can join (at least for a day) when you have your wedding at what is perhaps the ultimate Hollywood location.

If Los Angeles is the center for anyone who loves movies, then Paramount Studios, the longest continually operating studio in Hollywood, is probably the epicenter. Its legendary pictures and players are known throughout the world, from Valentino, the Marx Brothers and Grace Kelly to Harrison Ford, Robert De Niro, Tom Hanks and a whole slew of Klingons. Just being on the lot makes you feel like an insider, as you walk past buildings with names like DeMille and you realize that iconic movies, such as The Ten Commandments, The Godfather, Sunset Boulevard, Rear Window, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Indiana Jones were made here. What they all have in common is their ability to spark our imagination, capture our attention and linger in our memories. Exactly the elements you want for your own blockbuster wedding.

Picture your guests being waved onto the lot and meeting up at the famed Bronson Gates by the studio’s main promenade. Your ceremony can be held in front of the massive iron gates or around the fountain at the center of the circular courtyard. Directly to your right, the Paramount Theatre, with its logo marquee, offers a grand setting for your reception. The staff, experts at creating movie magic, can help you turn the huge rotunda lobby with its tall white columns and curving staircase into your fantasy backdrop. And the plush, theater-sized screening room is a very A-list way to regale friends and family with your personal “Love Story” home movie. Outside the theatre, your guests can take part in a couple of photo ops: sharing a box of chocolates on the “Forrest Gump” bench or vamping beside the trophy case that holds the studio’s Oscars. Even better, you can arrange to have your party taken on a private tour of the entire backlot.

Located on the backlot is the amazing New York Street, one of the most exciting and unique wedding locations around. The area, actually a series of streets that represent different cityscapes and neighborhoods, like Soho, Washington Square, the upper East Side and the Financial District, has served as the background for some of your favorite movies and TV shows. It can also be “dressed” to resemble Chicago or another urban center for the ultimate private block party!

Production Park offers a leafier environment, surrounded by genteel brownstones and shaded by blooming jacarandas. The intimate Lucy Park is an exact replica of the gardens at the home of TV’s superstar comic and her TV mogul husband, Desi.

Whether you choose one of these locations, or create your own on a humongous sound stage, this is your opportunity to script a four-star romantic production with yourself in the starring role. MEETING CAPACITY: Meeting rooms hold 250 seated guests.

Fees & Deposits

25% of the estimated event total is required to reserve your date. The balance is due 30 days prior to the event. Rental fees range $2,000–10,000 depending on the space rented. Meals range $55–100/person. Tax, alcohol and an 18% service charge are additional.
