Description
You know you’re almost there once you see the distinctive, green copper pyramid-shaped roofs of this seven-acre complex of event spaces, restaurant, pools and athletic courts. Enter the foyer and step onto the tan mosaic flagstone floor. The space soars to 35 feet, with huge Douglas fir poles supporting an enormous skylight.
Wedding guests are led to the lounge and reception area, the latter an octagon-shaped room with an unusual two-tone floor of Brazilian walnut and cherry hardwoods. There are several mirrored arches, one of which cleverly pushes back to provide a place for a band. Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails are served here before an event, and after a seated meal elsewhere, guests often return to dance. The adjacent Main Dining Room is large and light-filled, with a sizable skylight and two walls of floor-to-ceiling glass. The other two walls feature pastel-colored landscapes. Four large Douglas fir poles that match those in the foyer support a very high vaulted ceiling. Attached to these poles are multitiered pinpoint fixtures, making evening functions sparkle. Tables are dressed with crisp cream-colored linens.
Beyond the glass walls and doors is the garden courtyard, lushly planted and landscaped to accommodate outdoor ceremonies. Nearby is a large pergola, tennis court and croquet lawn. For outdoor events, you can also tent the adjacent lawns.
This is a must-see location for receptions. Be prepared to be impressed—we think that the Pacific Athletic Club is one of the better event sites on the Peninsula.

Fees & Deposits
For special events, a $2,000 nonrefundable deposit, which is applied to your event rental, is required to secure your date. The room rental fee is $1,600–2,200 depending on the day of the week reserved, and covers a 4½-hour block of time. Half the anticipated food and beverage cost is payable 180 days in advance and the balance, along with a confirmed guest count, is due 5 working days prior to the function. Seated meals start at $28/person, not including hors d’oeuvres or beverages. Alcohol, tax and a 20% service charge are additional.
For meetings, room rentals are as follows: Cypress and Sequoia Rooms $150 each, or $300 combined.
Availability
Year-round. Saturday and Sunday weddings or special events take place noon–4:30pm or 6pm–10:30pm. Overtime is $500 for the first hour and $1,000 for each additional hour. Monday–Friday corporate or special events begin after 3pm in the Dining Room. Meetings take place in the Cypress and Sequoia Rooms, and can be scheduled 7 days a week, anytime.
