Description

Los Gatos Lodge is an oasis of serenity, just minutes away from the center of picturesque downtown Los Gatos. Nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains on ten beautifully landscaped acres, it’s an attractive garden setting with a warm, unpretentious atmosphere. Its accessible location—close to three major airports—makes it very convenient for out-of-town wedding guests and business travelers alike.

The two-story lodge offers 128 newly renovated guestrooms, including thirteen suites with fireplaces, and over 5,000 square feet of banquet facilities, featuring five meeting rooms (equipped with screens and white boards) for seminars, retreats, conferences, weddings, and receptions. Among the outdoor event spaces are the Wedding Garden (designed exclusively for ceremonies), a large pool and patio with ample space for a band or DJ, and emerald-green lawns (great for wedding photos, cocktail receptions, or just a quiet stroll).

The Wedding Garden is a private covered arbor set slightly outside of the circle formed by the lodge’s main buildings. It’s available for rental whether you’re holding your reception at the Lodge or elsewhere, and it nicely combines both natural and decorative elements. Guests are seated on white garden chairs, while the wedding party makes its entrance through a frame of trees and flowers. They walk along an aisle runner, taking their places under a lattice arch decorated with silk ivy. The bride can make a dramatic entrance from a nearby room that has been provided as a changing area.

After the ceremony, the tree-shaded covered patio provides a pleasant reception option. You can dance poolside until 10pm (when outside music must end), then move your party to the indoor lounge, with its massive fireplace and full bar. If you decide to hold your entire affair indoors, the large El Gato Room is a good choice. With its plush carpet and soft lighting, the space has a sophisticated feel. It can be outfitted with a dance floor, and there will still be plenty of room left for tables.

The guestrooms and additional facilities at Los Gatos Lodge offer many advantages. If you’re planning a large wedding with a lot of out-of-town guests, you can reserve a block of rooms. Both wedding and business guests will appreciate the jacuzzi, putting green, regulation bocce ball court, and the in-house food and beverage services. Here, your dining experience is enhanced by views of the lush garden through large picture windows. You might consider organizing a morning-after-the-wedding brunch in one of the smaller banquet rooms, easily arranged by the Lodge’s experienced wedding consultants. However you decide to utilize this flexible facility, you’ll find the management extremely knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating.

CEREMONY CAPACITY: The Wedding Garden seats 300 guests.

EVENT/RECEPTION CAPACITY: The El Gato Room holds 120 seated guests, and the Gardenside Patio and pool area hold 300 seated guests. For other events, the Vasona Room holds 30, the DeAnza Room 80, the Saratoga Room 40, and the Garden Room 90 seated guests.

MEETING CAPACITY: Event spaces accommodate 15–300 seated guests.

Fees & Deposits

For social events, deposits range $250–1,000 depending on the space reserved, due within 7 days of making reservations. The event balance is due 5 days prior to the event. Room rental fees run $300–900, and meals $21–74/person; tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional. A $1.50/person cake-cutting fee applies.

For business functions, a deposit may be required. The event balance is due 5 days prior to the function. Meeting rooms run $200–500 and meals run $15–35/person; tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional.

Availability

Indoor spaces are available year-round, daily, including holidays, 7am–midnight. The Wedding Garden and Gardenside Patio are available May 1–October 15, until 10pm.
