Description
Lakewood Country Club is both a delightful and convenient venue for gathering far-flung family and friends. Though mere minutes from a major airport, the Club is tucked away on a quiet residential street, surrounded by eleven verdant acres of golf greens. Originally built in 1930 when golf was still very much an elite sport, the club now welcomes the public. Though hints remain throughout the property of its gracious past, Lakewood has been completely updated to accommodate the contemporary bride.
Entering via a circular driveway, you reach a large garden and lawn that fans out in front of the sprawling Clubhouse. Outdoor ceremonies are lovely on this manicured expanse, with flowering borders and trees providing natural adornment. The staff can bring in a gazebo, archway, columns or whatever you like to set the stage for your arrival. And what an arrival you’ll make! The large bride’s room on the second floor of the Clubhouse connects to an exterior wrought-iron and stone staircase, which you regally descend to the lawn below. For the faint of heart (or those not used to high heels and long trains) there’s an alternative entrance through the club’s first-floor main doors. Or better yet, why not go for high drama and ride up in a horse-drawn carriage? You’ll be ferried in style around that circular drive to the utter delight of your family and friends.
Later, while you and your new husband pose for photos at the Club’s lake area, guests are welcomed inside a bright and roomy Saltillo-tiled foyer for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Much like an interior courtyard, the foyer leads to three separate, and quite different, room options for your reception.
Host an impressive gala in the spacious Grand Ballroom for up to 300 of your nearest and dearest. Tall windows overlook the golf course, and the view of the lush fairways is like an artfully rendered landscape painting. At one end of the ballroom, a built-in dance floor fronts a raised stage, whose velvet curtains are pulled back to spotlight your evening’s entertainment. More modest affairs are held in the Hacienda Room, a wonderfully airy and light-filled space, thanks to a cathedral ceiling and open beams. For something cozier, the marvelously intimate Fireside Room retains many details of the original building, including a decorative hearth that the staff can fill with flickering candles for a romantic glow. The angular lines of an interior roof, complete with eaves and Spanish tiles, add to the Fireside Room’s homey atmosphere. Each of the banquet spaces also opens to an outdoor patio, where you can catch your breath and literally stop to smell the roses.
With its pastoral setting, attention to detail, and competitively priced wedding packages, the Lakewood Country Club deftly answers the needs of 21st-century brides.

Fees & Deposits
A nonrefundable deposit, which is applied to your food and beverage total, is required to reserve your date. The amount of the deposit is equal to 25% of the estimated event total. 50% is due six months prior, and 100% of the final estimated balance is due 15 days prior to the event date. Wedding packages start at $34.99/person.
All events are required to meet a minimum expenditure. Minimums vary due to date, time or size of the event. Room minimums do not include service charge, sales tax or ceremony fees. The reuirements are quoted prior to booking the event.
A 19% service charge and tax will be added to all food and beverage items.
Availability
Year-round, daily, 7am–1am. Saturday weddings take place 11am–4pm or 6pm–11pm. Additional hours can be arranged.
